Judy R. Arnold
Judy is a native Austenite and a versatile vocalist
you've seen in many Zachary Scott Theater
Productions such as Crowns, Beehive, Soul Sisters,
Rockin’ Christmas Party, Gospel at Colonus,
Precious Lord, and Dreamgirls. Critics say,
“…she is the next best thing to Aretha
herself,.” “Goodness, greatness, an
awe-inspiring performer.” She will earn your
R.E.S.P.E.C.T. with her thrashing, soul-stirring
impersonation of the performer she emulates. She is a
well-known Austenite who pursued many talents but
decided that her success would lie in entertaining
local and nation-wide fans in media and film. She
also served her country as Second Lieutenant in the
U.S. Army. Later, she worked as an educator in the
Austin Independent School District.

Regina Odom
Regina was born in Victoria, TX. She earned a BA in
Music from Corpus Christi State University and has
performed in a variety of Austin musicals, including
"Gospel", "DREAMGIRLS", &
"AVE. X". Regina has been with HOTWAX since
1996.

Cicely Clark
Cicely was born in Joliet, IL. She has performed for
the Special Olympics Texas, Austin Police Spouse
Assocation, CLEAT, Miss Austin USA and Miss
Williamson County pageants, Governors' mansion
and the Round Rock Community Choir. Cicely has been a
member of HOT WAX since February 2000.

Rudy Williams
Rudy is both Vocalist and Manager for HotWax. He was
born in Houston TX. , Rudy is a founding member of
HOTWAX. Besides performing, Rudy handles the booking
and management of the band. He has been in HotWax
since its inception in 1985.

Dave Boostrom
Dave plays both Trumpet and Trombone. He is from
Oakland, CA. Dave has been playing professionally for
25 years. Dave joined HOTWAX in 1997.

Dave Hazlett
Dave Hazlett is not only a , Guitarist for Hot Wax
but also a renowned guitar repairman at "Guitar
Resurrection" and tone counselor for many big
name artists. He writes an Article for Vintage Guitar
Magazine called "Tone Improvement" and has
helped artists from Eric Clapton to Eric Johnson. He
is the son of a missionary preacher. Dave grew up all
over the world. He graduated in Hawaii and settled in
Texas. He loves people that speak from the heart,
riding his vintage BMW motorcycle, and is the father
of four rowdy boys.

Paul Klemper
Paul Klemper plays Saxophone with HotWax. He is
originally from Boston, MA where he studied with Ray
Copeland, Archie Shepp and Max Roach. He moved to
Austin in 1982 and quickly became part of
Austin's blues scene. Having worked with Marcia
Ball, Angela Strehli, Lou Ann Barton, Doyle Bramhall
and other blues stars, he has recorded with Wayne
Jackson of the Memphis Horns, and has toured
internationally with worldclass artists such as BB
King, Charles Brown, The Neville Brothers, Three Dog
Night, and James Brown. He brings a soulful intensity
to a range of styles, from jazz to blues to rock and
soul. He gives private instruction on clarinet and
saxophone, and teaches jazz history for UT.

David White
David White plays Keyboards. He has played
professionally since 1969, first in Indianapolis, and
later while studying with jazz great David Baker at
Indiana University. Dave migrated to Texas in 1980,
playing with Ernie Sky and the K-Tels. Dave has
backed greats like Mary Wells, James Brown, the
Spinners, and Sam Moore (Sam of Sam and Dave). Dave
has worked with Hot Wax since 1996.

Roland Prez
Roland Prez plays Drums. He has played professionally
since 1969

Dan Carpenter
Dan Carpenter plays Tenor Saxophone. He was born in
Houston, TX. Dan has played professionally for 10
years in a number of Texas Bands including: Jr.
Medlow and Tornado Alley, Jessie Taylor, and Ponty
Bone. Dan joined HOTWAX in 1996.

John Gigliotti
John Gigliotti is our Sound and Lighting Engineer. He
is from Edinberg, TX. As a recording studio owner and
mastering engineer, John has worked with acts from
around the world. He has been with HOTWAX since 1991.

Jay Kamenetsky
Jay Kamenetsky plays Keyboards. He was born in Long
Island, NY. Jay earned a BA in Music from Tel-Aviv
University, Israel. He has a Masters degree in Music
Education from The University of Texas at Austin. Jay
has played Piano, Keyboards and Organ in several
Austin Musicals including "Cabaret",
"Dreamgirls" & "Soul
Sisters". Jay joined HOTWAX in February of 1996.

Jamie Hilboldt
Jamie Hilboldt, Keyboardist has worked with many
top-shelf acts, including: Rotel and the Hot
Tomatoes, The Funk Brothers, Shawn Colvin, Ray
Benson, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra under
Duke's son Mercer Ellington. He has performed
twice at the White House for the president, and
traveled the world as musical director for the Vegas
show Legends in Concert.

Will McGowan
Will McGowan, Drummer is a native of East Austin,
Will was so enamored with the drums that he taught
himself to play at age 3, with nothing more than a
couple of tree branches, metal garbage cans and empty
cans of Crisco, while singing songs by his favorite
group, the Jackson 5. Despite his grandmothers
constant pleas to "quit making all that
racket", Will pursued his love for music and, at
the age of 19, with a real drum set in hand and a
matured voice, played his first gig on Austin's
famed 6th street. Will has performed with Kirk
Whalum, Kyle Turner, Kim Waters, Ronnie Laws, Gerald
Alston and toured Europe in 2005 with contemporary
jazz band Europa.

Lannie Hilboldt
Lannie Hilboldt is Bassist and Musical Director. He
has been a professional bassist for 32 years, born
and raised in UpState NY and currently residing in
Pflugerville TX. Lannie's musical adventures have
taken him all over the United States as bassist for
such acts as Legendary Blues Guitarist Coco Montoya,
Monster Blues Guitarist Chris Duarte, Blues Artist
Karen Tyler and others. Lannie has toured Asia and
the US as the Musical Director/Bassist for the
Legends in Concert Series. Some of his more memorable
gigs include a guest performance with the Duke
Ellington Orchestra at the Lincoln Theater in
Washington DC, and two Command Performances at the
White House for President and Mrs. Bush while a
member of the show group "Rotel and the Hot
Tomatoes". Current projects include working for
Hotwax, Special Interest Band and the Zachary Scott
Theater Center.

Kevin Hall
Kevin Hall is an accomplished Drummer. He is from
Cooperstown, NY. Kevin studied with the Philidelphia
Philharmonic and is a recipient of the Louis
Armstrong Jazz Award. Kevin has been with HOTWAX
since 2002.

Rich Ebler
Rich Ebler, Bassist is from New York City. Rich has
played with Grover Washington, Eric Gale, Chris Bodi
and Ira Siegel. Rich has also performed in numerous
Broadway shows. Rich joined HOTWAX in 1997.
